Well Thanksgiving sucked. They had all these posters up for good food and everything, but only the day shift got any. Us night shift people get shafted all the time. I don't mind that there wasn't turkey or anything. I just mind that day shift got all that stuff and we at night shift actually got less food than usual (and it's already dismal.) But there's always Veterans' Day, which is like Thanksgiving but directed at me personally.
...I'm expecting an entire turkey from all of you. (PS we really like when people send us beef jerky in care packages)
Also, lately Blockbuster has been sending free movies. That's totally awesome.
Anyway, I still have a bunch of photos to put here, but someone's got my thumbdrive for the time being. So, later. I don't think I'll be taking many new pictures afterwards. We've finally got dates to leave and I don't see much happening between now and then.
Well, I don't really have anything to say really. Things are really mundane. Cleaning up insurgents is really going great. It's basically quiet over here. I saw this big assessment map recently, things were looking good all over.
Yes, I like ending journals on good notes.

I remember stories of a blue planet with vast seas; of people with myths of Humanity everlasting; of children who saw, in the embers of dying stars, the destiny of their race. And they hurled themselves into the void of space with no fear.
